- 500 g - boneless thigh
- Onion, big, chopped - 1
- Green chilli chopped - 4
- Ginger, minced - 1/2 inch piece
- Tomato, chopped - 1 medium
- Coconut milk - 1/2 cup or 2 tbsp - coconut powder
- Pepper - 1 tbsp
- Fennel seed - 1/2 tsp
- Cinnamon - 1/2 piece
- Oil - 1 tbsp
- Curry leaves - a few
- Dry fry pepper, fennel seed, cinnamon and powder and keep it aside. Heat the oil in a kadai add onion, green chillies and ginger and fry till transparent. Add tomato and fry for 5 mins.
- Now add the chicken pieces and fry for 10 mins. Add 1 cup water, salt and cook till the chicken is done.
- Add the coconut milk, powder masala and curry leaves. Cook for 5 more mins and remove.
- Tastes good with dosa, idli and appam.
